Welcome to my Blog!

I am Nicole, and I have been a writer since I was a kid. I wrote and illustrated a book for school when I was in middle school, and my grandmother kept a folder with my writings that I had long forgotten about. But my drive to write stayed with me.

I got derailed quite a few times since I tried a writing course and the teacher told me the names I used weren’t good. They also mentioned that writing doesn’t pay the bills. So I went into finance instead. But after multiple NaNoWriMos, about 13 unpublished books, and a whole bunch of other factors, I’ve decided it’s time.

My Writing Journey

I began “Throne of Wyrden” about 4 years ago. I came across a writing prompt because I was really struggling with being creative due to being in a pretty dark place in my life. It started with a cast of characters who work together to save the world.

My writing tends to be what I’ve learned is called “pantsing,” where I let the story tell me what it is. I just let it flow as I write, and sometimes it surprises even me. This makes writing fun for me because while I’m writing, I’m just as anticipatory as the reader.

The World of Pantheon

The Wyrden are a race of people who originally populated the world of Pantheon. They vanished after the defeat of Lord Moros, but there’s so much more to the story, and that’s where my first novel comes in.

The Wyrden are where it all began. All the magic. Think of them as Master Mages. They also worked alongside Dragons, enhancing each other’s magic.

But with the battle against Moros, the magic branches off and the Wyrden disappear along with the dragons. The world is, in a way… broken. The “Throne of Wyrden” series is a journey about the characters – Siofra, Seraphina, Zathrian, Aiofe, and many others – who have to unravel the mystery of the Wyrden’s fate and the fact that Moros was never really defeated, just delayed.

Siofra, Seraphina, Zathrian, and Aiofe are all tied in ways they couldn’t have imagined and are crucial to the fate of their world.

Join Me on This Journey

I believe every author has their own story to tell in their works. I also believe writing and reading books shape and help lives. I know how much books and my favorite authors have impacted mine, walking me through dark times as I held a character’s hand who had it worse than I did, and they made it.

I’m excited to share this journey with you! Here’s what you can expect:
